Install Instructions For XTEC Fog Hid System.
Purchased from
www.umnitza.com

The Fog Kit is a 6000K. The light output is excellent. It does not match the factory 4100K bulbs. I no longer use the low beams. Only the DDE's and fogs.

Take out the fog light assembly. Take off the headlights. Taking out the headlights will make it easier to wire everything and mount the ballast.
Take the back cover off the fog lights, and take out the bulb.
There is a small screw holding the black wire and the clip that holds down the bulb.

Remove the screw, take off the black wire. Screw back in the clip. You will need that to hold in-place the HID bulb.

Now carefully cut both the factory red and black wires, coming out of the fog assembly cover. Cut them as close to the edge as possible.

You want to cut close to the edge so that you have a good amount of wires left attached to the factory plug. You will connect the HID wires to the factory plug. Do the same to the wires inside the cover

Now that you have the plug free. Attach it to the wires coming out of the ballast. I used feemale connectors, and heat shrunk them.

The bulbs should be tested prior to opening the box. I wired everything and tested both bulbs.

Here comes the cutting part. You will have to pass these wires through the back cover of the factory fog assembly.

After I made the hole to pass them through, I thought that I could have cut the wires, made smaller holes. Passed them through, and then could have connected them together. That would have been a cleaner option. So keep that in mind, before cutting the holes.
Hole was made by using a dremmel.

The hole.

Pass through the wires, and put in the bulb. DO NOTtouch the bulb.

Use some silicone to seal the hole. As I wrote above, if you use the alternate method to pass wires, the hole to seal will be much smaller.
After installing the bulbs, test both fogs before re-installing them. I used the double-sided tape, provided in the kit, to mount the ballast. I will move it when the weather gets better. I am concerned it may not hold the heavy ballast for a long time.

Use ties, provided with the kit, to secure the wires. Install the fog light housing, and the headlights.

Please note that the pics are with the Fogs and DDE's only. The low beams are off in these pics

Now you can see why I opted for 18"wheels. Nasty roads here.
