6/16 - FINALLY I got around to doing this.  Lots of stuff since it's been so long...
So a few months ago, two of my lug studs were stripped right next to each other on one wheel.  Not good, so I undertook the retarded task of trying to fix it myself and put the car up on jackstands, not knowing it would stay there for another month or so.
I took off the calipers, rotors, knuckle, and then I used a hammer + a few strategically placed bricks and a big ass socket to knock out the old hub/bearing; replaced the hub, bearing, seals, regreased everything, and threw it back on the strut.  Fuck that shit, it was so ridiculous, next time I'm just gonna buy a whole new knuckle.

Notice anything else different?  I had a lot of downtime, so I took care of a few more things.  I put on Brembo Blank rotors and 3sx ss brake lines (blue, matches my car!), also threw on speed bleeders for my brakes and one for my clutch.  I measurd my clutch pedal play and it was way too much, so I adjusted it and bled the clutch line and now it feels so much more responsive.  I also painted my calipers (Duplicolor black paint kit) and wheel wells (Krylon iirc).  The pictures are pretty ugly, it looks better in person/the oxidation is gone now that the car is on the road and I did a little brake pad bed in/whatever.

Painted caliper, blue 3sx ss brake lines, Brembo blank rotor, speed bleeder if you look for it, etc.

Old
brake lines, rotors , bleeders + new speed bleeders

I also replaced my front ball joints, along with a tie rod end since the bolt was stripped and a sway bar end link /w a torn boot (no pictures), painted the front and rear cowls since they were all grey and ugly instead of nice and glossy black using Krylon rust tough paint, noticed a little rust on my wipers so I painted those too (all of them), AND I painted my battery tie down and the battery tray.  Lotta painting but that's what I get for being a retard and trying to do shit myself (learning is gud).
I purchased this new ipod connector off of amazon that connects to the ipod port instead of the headphone jack, allowing you to get a nice line level out audio signal.  No more being pissed off about gains being off since the ipod and radio are different, and I can control the volume from my steering wheel controls too.  It was so worth it, only ~$15.  Buy it if you only have an aux-in on your headunit for your ipod - it's made by Cables to Go.
A few weeks ago I got a job as a lab assistant (nanoparticle research, mainly for anti-cancer therapy and enhanced imaging! sounds awesome and exciting...it's awesome but not that exciting running experiments all day every day but it's still pretty straight getting to learn all these new things and working with these pHD's and ish...plus there's lots of cool huge toys aka expensive machines to play with).  That aside was a lot longer than expected - anyways, the point is, we have a lot of new machines that come in every week since the lab is only a little over a year old.  That means a lot of stuff packed in foam.  Being cheap, I used said foam for some extra sound deadening...it didn't do too much, but it was free.
Last aesthetic thing I did was get a pair of diamond plate floor mats in anodized black with the mitsubishi logo in white, along with the diamond plate heel guard to go with it.  I love the way it looks, I finally have some decent floor mats now!  Girls /w heels disagree haha...they like the looks though.
I swear I have at least 20+ pictures of stuff being painted/put together but I don't know where they are.  The digital camera has been acting up lately, it literally fell apart and I superglued it together.  Here are a few pictures though, they're preetty self explanatory so no captions this time:

Aight, getting near the end of the update.  I purchased and installed Maximal Performance's 2.5" single shot exhaust and solid motor mounts, NGK plugs and wires (blue!) - and I got a compression test done (cylinders all healthy, esp considering the age of the car).  Also went and got an alignment, it turned out to be a little cheaper than expected because I used a nail to mark the alignment bolt/knuckle so my car was just barely out of alignment.
The exhaust sounds fucking awesome, the 'fart can' look isn't that appealing but I get some great top end performance out of it - lost a little at the bottom though.  The motor mounts were so worth it, the old ones were cracked around the rubber.  Now I can feel pretty much every move the engine makes, it's ridiculous.  My car vibrates (.....hahaha) at stop lights, some people say it's too uncomfortable, but I don't think it's that bad.

New exhaust!  Plus a brick behind the wheel so I don't have to put on the parking brake! (just finished doing a half assed brake pad bed in).

This is the easiest view of any of the motor mounts - driver's side.  It's pretty much impossible to take a decent picture of any of the rest.

MONEY SHOT.  Gotta start polishing stuff and making my engine bay look nice while I save up for suspension/audio/more more more more more uprades.............

DONE.  I'll put up a vid of the exhaust sound when I can.  I have a lot more stuff planned - but I'm busy as hell with work/school, so I'll try and work on my car and update as often as I can.

Your car is identical to mine, except mine has no engine currently, it's sitting in the dirt next to the car :). Mine even has the chrome stock wheels.
