Thanks for visiting my page.

MaximaPower's 1999 Nissan Maxima

**IF ANYONE KNOWS WHY MY PICS ARE DISTORTED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. DROP A LINE IN MY G-BOOK OR SOMETHING.**

I got my max on August of 2001. It had about 21k miles and I bought it for around $14k total after trading in my 93 Subird LE 3.1 V6 =)

My first mod was hiper white light bulbs which I took out cus I didn't know that I needed a upgrade harness. I also modded the parking (clearance) lights to be brighter by cutting off the nubb and I modded the signals to stay on all the time when the lights are on and blink whenever I turn the signal on. You can find a writeup for this at my favorite links up top under JT:My Max Page, which is where I learned how to do that mod. Thanks for the writeup JT. Then, I added a factory style spoiler which I got painted and installed for $200 at a performace shop here in New Orleans.

Next mod was the Racing Hart M5s bought from WheelMax.com. My factory tires were worn out when I bought the car, so I had to get new tires; got rims along with it =)
They are 17x7s wrapped with Toyo Proxes 225/45. Now my car is left with a BIG GAP!

MAINTENANCE DONE SO FAR:
air filter @30k miles(changed to monster flow filter)
fuel filter @30k miles(bought from local nissan dealer for around $13)
spark plugs @30k miles(bought from Tustin Nissan for $50something)
changed brake pads (nissan fronts @26k miles, cheap autozone rears @22k miles)
checked tubes
cleaned throttle body @40k miles
air filter changed @55k miles(back to stock airbox)
fuel filter change around 55k miles
changed tranny fluid @64k miles
also added B&M Tranny Cooler @64k miles - part #013070264 order from Jegs.com for 49.99
changed front brake pads. Used Raybestos quiet stops. Car has ~65k miles.
flushed coolant @ 65k miles
replaced fuel filter @ 80k and 95k miles

I then got my tails cleared using the oven method. It didn't work out so well, I tried doing the driver side and messed up. I think the back (black part) melted cus the housing didn't fit back on the car right and I didn't put the fluorescent piece right and I ended up stripping the bolts when putting the light back on the car. So I didn't even both with the passenger side. Thanks to JAY25 for clearing the tails for me. For a How-To, click on MaximaDriver under my favorite links

Got in an accident today. It was the other guy's fault, he didn't yield at the median for me. I ended up running right into the side of is van.

Monster Flow filter with $15 upper tube.MaximaPower's 1999 Nissan Maxima Thanks to Danielsan from the org. I followed his writeup. Well you can find the writeup in my favorite links up top. I used a hanger to temporarily hold up the filter since it didn't come with a bracket. The setup has a nicer and louder growl than just the JWT or Monster flow filter.
NOTE: IF YOU USE A BREATHER MAKE SURE TO FIND ONE BIG ENOUGH FOR THE MAX, I THINK MOST ARE SMALL
