I recently had my stereo moved from an '89 Dodge Daytona to a '94 Mazda MX6. The acoustics in this car is far better than the Dodge, and the spacious trunk provided a lot of flexibility in the installation design .... I just wanted to keep the spare tire where it should be. Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-1000 Amps: -
Subwoofers: Two Memphis 16-ST300 Mid & High: Power Acoustik APC-280, 2-channel, 280W x 2 Speakers:-
Subwoofers: Lanzar DC12-D (DVC) , 500W (rms) Mid & High: 5" x 7" JVC component (front) 6.5" Infinity Reference (rear) Crossover: Profile California QX-11 Cables and Accessories: Monster Cable Security: CrimestopperMy sleek, new Mazda MX6. I hope to add a few aftermarket performance parts to the car in the near future. Before .... Now.... Custom built subwoofer box with plexi-glass front and a hidden neon tube. Behind the glass ..... a pair of 12" Lanzar DC12-D (2-ohm DVC) competition series subwoofers.Side view showing the APC-280 amp, Profile QX-11 crossover and a Stinger fuse distribution block. The APC-280s not only produce fine mids and highs, but it's VU meters and plexi-glass top gives it a cool look. The Crunch amp seen here has been replaced by two Memphis ST300 amps. The Crunch amp just quit after 8 months of service, and now I've gone with twp ST300s to drive those subs. For a view of the Memphis amp, go to http://www.brookings.net/~naden/Memphis_amp.jpg. The rear of the 12" Lanzar subwoofers. More information and pictures could be found on my homepage at http://www.brookings.net/~naden/car_stereo.html.
