Some how i messed this page up and lost alot of pics that I had up. It still show some basic pics but I apologize to anyone who wanted to see all of the detailed installation pics and explanations. Either way this truck is sold and I hope to have my new 2000 s500 on display by 10/10/03. Check back soon to see my new pride and joy.
The following are pictures of the video installs
Here is a shot of the head rest install. The enclosure was dyed to match the leather seats. Also, all screens are totally removable. The headrest instaalls can be removed with the pop of the screen key. Then they click right back into place.
Here is a picture of the front install. It is impossible to change the head unit in the rx 300 because it controls everything. Your only options for a front tv install is in the visors, or on a goose neck. I chose this install because its low and out of site (since front tv is illegal).
This picture is to show exactly what took place to carry out the front tv install. It was mounted and drilled straight through the wood with a single power cable also going through. The install is very clean.
The vcr was mounted and tucked away underneath the driver side back seat.
The light up front was re-modeled to house the eye to the vcr. This way remotely controlling the vcr is easy and can be done from any position of the truck or while I drive.
These are the 2 remotes that control the vcr and tvs from any position inside the truck.
This is a pic of my new install. Its a bad pic but it shows you the new 11 inch flip down lcd.

Catch scenes from the matrix on one of 4 screens. Coming to a car near you!
Another view of the rear video installs. The new install required me to add a video amp because the 11 inch drew power from the right headrest screen. End result was that all four screens color and image was magnified.
The following pictures are of the audio installs.

Ofcorse there is a lot more that was used in developing the second stage of my audio but as far as the foundation, I must give credit to the strong Fosgate Amps, Focal highs, Focal mids, and the Crossfire eq/line driver. That combination is the main reason for my loud and clear sound. Its also responsible for clean strong hitting bass.
Picture of Rockford Fosgate 500.2 amp and Fosgate cap. I didnt need the cap for extra juice. My die hard bayttery works just fine and there was no dimming on the head lights or dash when the bass hit. I added the cap because the juice comes directly from the cap instead of all the way from the engine. In result the bass hits faster and cleaner.
Picture of the 400.4 Fosgate amp that pushes the mids, highs, and components. You can also see the Fosgate power distributor and the Fosgate power block which is mounted to the right of the amp.
Picture of both Fosgate amps mounted behind the rear seats.
This isnt a clear picture but it is suppose to show you the bass knob which is located right above the cigarette lighter. With this I can control how much bass i want the subs to put out.
This picture is to show the Crossfire eq/line driver that was added. The features of the eq adjust the sound quality, control all tv volumes and sound settings. The features of theline driver cleaned up an already good sound quality so that I could keep the factory head unit. Also in this pic you can see the factory 6 disc changer.
Focal 6.5 inch highs in front doors. They fit right into the factory enclosure and the Focal cross over was mounted behind the door pannel.
Focal 6.5 inch mids in the rear doors. Excellent for mid bass. These mids take care of the center of the install. Many installs leave a dead space in between the front cabin and the sub woofer install in the trunk. With the Focal mids you get mid bass as well as clear highs out of them.
In the middle of this picture you can see the factory tweet. There is one on each side of the dash.
Focal tweeters were flush mounted into the front doors.
The small enclosure was dyed to match the door panel it is flushed into the same way the enclosure for the head rest tvs was dyed. Evevrthing must be clean and look like it came with the truck!!!!!
Picture of the 2 Fosgate subs 2001 series. I thank lexus for building a tightly sealed car. The intention was to keep all the sound and noise outside of the car to increase the drivers comfort. Because of this luxury feature I didnt need Dynamat. But trust me, these 2 subs produce massive pressure and bass even with the windows down!
Fosgate amp fuse.
Second conlrol unit.

These are all my swithches. From left to right, the first switch is to cut the amp on or off. The red switch is to turn my 4 piece street glow kit on or off witch is located under the truck in purple and blue (be careful people, its illegal). The third switch is to cut off all the screens. I basically have that switch for emergencys but i dont really need it. The last switch is for the inverter witch allows me to play music and movies at the same time.
Few features of my security

You should read this it will give you some good ideas for your car!!!!!!! My security consists of a few things. The viper picks up contact and when the alarm is sounded it goes off with the air horns that were installed which is very loud. Sorry but you cant cut the airhorns and alarm because there is a hood lock which is electrically coded inside the car. The rx is already good because the key is coded which makes it impossible to start the engine but.......My favorite part of the security is shown in the picture. If you look closely you can see a little microphone in the corner above the vent. This is my sound security. It works seperate from the viper and even runs on a seperate battery (cant tell you where it is). It picks up all sound and will set off the alarm and air horns if triggered. Dont ask me how it runs on a seperate battery but co-exists with the viper and air horns, you have to ask my installer that question. Once the alarm is activated you cant even talk inside the car without setting off the alarm. Look into it, it works very well and its pretty good in price.
If some how you can get past the electrical aspect, the microphone, the air horns, and the viper etc. my last resort is the 45 cal. nickel plated rocca fella. You can choose hollow or standard.
Sorry but the street glow pics didnt come out but if you want neons you have to go with the best company, STREET GLOW. The kit lights up the street pretty well.
Future plans:
-Flush trunk install and a third sub
-Relocate second control untit to center console
-PS2 install
-Maybe rims but the RX doesnt take rims as well as other suv's. it totally looses the ride quality when its even sittin on 18's.
