As we all grow older we learn from our mistakes and try to make sure that they don?t happen again in the future. This page is made of my first truck as a way to always remember it. At the end of this summer I will be leaving the country for two years and be forced to sell "my baby." The truck was bought my junior year of high school (2002). When I received the truck it was just a little 4x4. That day I vowed that the truck would never see dirt it was for paved roads only. All truck owners know that if you have a truck let alone a 4x4 you?re going to use it. That very next day San Diego received one of its biggest storms of the year, and so it began.
Late that afternoon we took it out into some of the nearby hills and went off roading. I realized that day that there were a few more modifications that need to be done. In the coming year I decided to put upper arms on the truck, allowing me to lift the truck 3inches. I wanted to run bigger tiers so I needed to put fiberglass fenders on the truck. I wasn?t a fan of fiberglass at the time but it needed to be done to get the performance out of the truck. So after the glass come the 31's and new rims with an offset that placed the rim right at the end of the fender, making things look a little more natural.
Because of the bigger? well everything, I needed to do a few modifications to the engine. I put a throttle body spacer on and new filters. Not much but gave it a little more pep. Then came the system inside.
I started out with an all alpine system, deck, amp, type R sub ect. Some of that was stolen and today the only alpine component in the truck is the same 700w class D amp. Now I am running a Sony fold away deck, and JL audio Sub. The JL has nothing on my old type R, as many critics might argue the JL would blow the R away. I'm also running an XM satellite system in the truck.
