I got my 86 Nissan Maxima like 7 months ago. We have two Maxima in our family, one is mine and the other is my mom's, she has had her's ever since it came out of the show room 14 years ago. I got mine from my dad's best friend wanting to get rid of it. The car is basically all stock but i have blue headlights on it, replaced parking light strobelights which are blue, a Pioneer DEH-P6300 deck (sweet) it has the little animation on it which is really cool, and some Kenwood 6 1/2 speakers on my front doors which are aight. I also have some 4 with a 1 1/2 tweeters from my rears which are Opitmus just for replacing the shitty stock speakers.
May 19, 2002 was the last day i got to drive my maxima, it was sold to a classmate from my school. I'm going to miss the V6 grunt and burning little civics left and right. haha. and i'm going to miss the sweet deck i got on it and the strobes that i had on everytime i had the car parked and everyone would stare. So this web page is dedicated to all of the true maxima lovers out there i feel you. it's time for me to move on to a two door four banger, because i'm going to college at CSUS this coming fall and i need a better car(not saying the max was a bad car, of course) because i need to save gasoline (it's getting too expensive 20 bucks a week). i'm going to get a 240sx '91 se fastback but at least it still in the Nissan family, but i'll always have my mom's '88 max to drive.
