This install was paid for by me as I went to school. I installed the whole thing by myself, and everything I've learned came from installing this system, and talking with people on soundchat. It's not the best but it rocks the hood and I love it.

The system has a Pioneer premier 720p head unit.

A Pheonix Gold bass cube.

The front speakers are Kenwood 4". I also have Kaption Components in kick pods for the front stage.

The rear speakers are Cerwin Vega 6002 6.5" co-axial speakers.

The rear co-axials and the front components are running off of an Orion Cobalt CS200.4 amplifier. The 4" speakers are running off deck power.

The subs are 4 Cerwin Vega, Vega series 12's with dual-voice coils all in ported enclosures built to custom specifications.

The amp for the subs is a Mmats d300hc rated at 1200 watts rms at 2 ohms.

The wiring is all 4AWG.

The amp is powered by a battery under the hood, a battery in parallel in the trunk in a marine battery case, and 2 Pheonix Gold 1 Farad caps wired in parallel after the second battery.

There are 2 100 amp fuse breakers on the power line. One is under the hood, and the other is in the trunk right before the caps.

(March 26, 2001) Just traded my car in for a 97 Grand Am SE. The Mazdy is now gone. All of this system will be put into my new car.
