oh, and if you were wondering about the big block. thats a 427 tall block we got from a good neighbor of ours. its freshly built (fairly mild) but he isnt going to use the motor anymore so we got it on a trade. we still plan on finishing the 355 to use this summer. but by next summer we may go through that 427 and beef it up a bit to throw in the truck.

this is the part where everything on the truck starts coming back together. the other day the cat dragged in some drop spindles so we can lower our truck a few. were dropping it 3" in front and 4" in the back. we painted them red along with the springs and it looks great against the black frame and control arms. we also got our zinc dichromate engine mounts on. take a look see for yourself:

meanwhile, were waiting for our carb to arrive so we can finish our engine and fire her up. c'mon jegs...

a few days ago we set the intake, carb, and headers on to see what it would look like:

shes lookin pretty wicked now. after the motor gets its final touches, we'll get the truck sitting back on its wheels so we can drop the engine in and fire it up.

dont turn that dial

I probably would if I was keeping it. But at this point, it's not even safe to drive in rain or cold weather. I'll most likely buy another one the same bodystyle and do what you just said. It should be easy finding a turbo, because I know a guy who managed to fit one on his Saturn from a Cummins Diesel engine.

Oh, I forgot to mention it's had some work done. Aside from the clutch and the disconnected exhaust, it has a little engine work I'm still figuring out. My mother bought it off eBay from a guy that races cars for a living, so it's probably got something we don't know about. It might have been ported and polished for all I know. The point is that it isn't worth tearing down to figure out since we're selling it in a few months and getting a B4C (maybe). By the way, you've got a nice collection of old fox bodies.

But with the Fox body, the elevation might have affected it. But nontheless, he was a car behind until he gave up.

I don't think so. I know the guy. He had Flowmasters and a short throw, and no matter what he tried, he couldn't run faster than a 15.4. The other 5.0 was driven by a guy that weighed 300+ pounds and couldn't drive worth crap.

That video of you launching the truck is damned impressive. 5 stars for damn sure.
