This is me and my dad's hot rod project truck. Ill be posting updates each time we add something new so stay tuned. Anyway We bought her yesterday as you see it here. Some rust/cracks are showing through here and there, but the truck is originally from Tennesee so its pretty solid. Has no mufflers on it so it really screams. Goin to grab some flowmasters pretty soon. For now the steering is high priority cuz its really loose.
Aftermarket grill (probly going to keep it, looks pretty cool i think) and stock wheels.
The interior is really clean for an older vehicle as you can see. Here you can see a 3 spd. trans with a low gear but were looking for a heavy duty 5 spd. (preferably a car trans cuz this one is too notchy) Oh and the speedometer only reads to 85 mph so we wont be able to see how fast were going.
And the most important part: the engine. We were told it was a 350 but turns out its a 305 by the casting numbers. Gotta find another engine now, but were not sure what. Thats all for now.

Today we picked up a pair of Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and bolted em on. Tomorrow (or whenever we get to it) were getting a couple of drop down pipes to put right on the end of the mufflers. This way we dont have to mess around with the over-axle pipe. We might set it up differently later on, but it gets us by for now, and sounds wicked. Turned a few heads on the way to the car wash today, (hehe) and we finally got all that dirt cleaned out from underneath. More pics to come soon.

Fixed the electrical issues that recently came up. Whenever you pressed the brake, the turn signals lit up too.

Just picked up a 355 block and cast iron crank yesterday with ALL machine work done for just $357. Were probably selling or trading the crank though because were looking for a steel crank.

Last week we went to a swap meet and picked up a nice Muncie M20 4 speed for $325. All the gears turn tightly and there is very little wear. We also picked up a brand new ProForm distributor (tested to 7000 rpm) for $75. Plus we'll be pulling that old 305 and tranny out as soon as we strip down the front end. After that we'll be replacing the front suspension and the rest of the steering parts.
