Thanks SO MUCH to everyone who has rated my car! Over 8,500 hits and each category is 5 stars. I am very grateful for your support and for the high marks. I find it odd that I invested thousands to put 700W of pro-grade sound system in the car and audio is the lowest marks people have given the car. I guess if I don't have video screens all over the place like some of those CES show cars it doesn't rank well. Anyway...ON WITH THE PICTURES!
Simple corner shot taken the day I brought my new baby home for the first time.
Chrome grill, rally lights, tint and the sunroof portion of Union Jack are on!
Top down view of the Union Jack.
Chrome bits around the dash (NAV ring coming soon)
The JL Audio 10" subwoofer stealthbox for MINI Coopers. There is also a false floor with removable panel covering the JL 450W amp. Sure, 700W total power might be overkill for the MINI...but it sure sounds nice.
As mentioned, the carpeted false floor has a tab that lifts a panel to reveal the 450W JL Audio amp. The subwoofer amp resides under the driver's seat and is hard to photograph.
These Polk db6500 Component speakers can take incredible power and sound terrific even at high speeds with windows down and top wide open.
Fortunately, the grills that come with these are almost identical to the Anthracite plastic from the factory, so I think it still looks "factory" enough to use these grills, while giving a more sylish look to the grill area.
I have struggled with how to get that retro look and getting the wiper arms chromed REALLY helped.
3M decals completed the Union Jack flag out to the edges of the roof. Swweeeet!
After the Union Jack was completed, it really changed the look of the profile for the better. Less nautical, more British.
I changed the rear badging by removing the original and replacing with original Mini Cooper badging.
This area was blank originally. The old school MINI badge was a great fit without being over the top. It looks "factory"
New Coopers come with big FAT letters that say "COOPER" in italics. I left the red "S" in place but replced the fat letters with skinny originals.
After a 3 months wait, the chrome speedo/tach trim rings finallay arrived.
These really made a difference to me. I was pleased that they are solid metal and look factory made to me.
What good is all that power and subwoofer action without plugging in my 30GB iPod into the AUX input?
Panasonic CQ-VD7003U CD/DVD/FM Player w/7" widescreen LCD
iPod 60GB Video
JL Audio 450/4 (150W x2 in front, 75W x2 in rear)
Rear Speakers: Polk/Momo MMC690
Front Speakers: Polk db6500
More pics are coming soon!
I've put extensive chrome trim throughout the interior.

nice mini. did you make the box in the back for the amp or did you buy it somewhere and if so where at?
