Sorry about the long times between updates.... I'm in Florida now.. but the car is still in NH.

here is some pics of the new rims and the 12" wide slicks. Plannin on gettin the same style front rims buy 15x3 instead of the 15x7 shown

****Update****
Well, I REALLY worked hard today (Memorial Day) and all but finished the RR. The motor is in, and it is running. but I have a few leaks to deal with, need new spark plugs, and I need new header gaskets and its all set! (Also have to break in the cam).
I have a bunch of pictures to post, it may take awhile to load please forgive me!
The motor hanging:

Motor in:

Rockers on, then intake:

Valve covers on then Carb:

Motor ready to run!

Motor running!

I gotta say, I'm never using Jegs again. Never got either the gaskets or the head bolts for the heads. Had to order them from another supplier (ARP for the head bolts, fel-pro for the headgaskets). Here is some pics of the heads on the motor, had to get another gasket because one was damaged in shipping (UGHHH, MORE friggin delays)

I had to add this, just TOO Damn funny.

Aight, lets clear this up. I BOUGHT this car the way it is currently. With the nitrous setup it would run 10's, however with the bad rings the only thing it would do if I used the nitrous is nuke the motor. I paid 8 grand for it at a car dealer auction (my dad sells cars). I am going to be building 2 motors for the car, a mild setup until I get the parts for the 496 stroker setup. The mild setup will put out around 450 hp and should net me 12's in the 1/4. The 496 stroker will run apprx 700-750hp and if I dont have too much traction problems I will run 10's.

These are pictures of ME next to the Roadrunner...

New picture of the RR... kinda dark because I can't move it (no motor).

*If you have any questions email me, or if you would like to see some specific pictures just post in my guestbook*

This is my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner
I bought it at a local car auction, it was built as a pro street drag car.

The rear end is a Dana 60 which has been narrowed, with 5:13 full spool gears, and the trunk has been altered to allow the 16" wide Mickey Thompson tires underneath.

It has a full wheelie bar attached to the rear to help it hook up. The wheelie bar stops the car from pulling a wheelie and damaging the bumper should it contact the ground (not much fun though :( ).

The engine is a 440ci big block HP (stock 375hp), with ported 906 heads. A Solid lifter cam and high performance valve springs allow the engine to rev higher than a stock 440 (reved it to 6500rpm) would allow.
Heres a picture of the motor.

The tranny is a 727 torqueflite (3 spd) with a Hurst Ratchet Shifter, with a reverse manual valve body setup. It shifts the opposite of most vehicles, which shift P R N 3 2 1, the reverse manual valve body causes the tranny to shift P R N 1 2 3. The tranny has a ratchet shifter to help shift it faster. The ratcher shifter also helps prevent you from shifting into say N. You can only shift into reverse if you use both of your hands (reverse lockout).

The car has a full rollcage as well just in case the unthinkable happens, NHRA rules state that since the car runs 10's in the 1/4, it is necessary for the roll cage at the drag strip or they wont let me race it.

Once I get the first motor finished, I will be posting some pics of some burnouts and some driving shots as well.
