My 1993 Limited Edition Miata, or "93LE". Each 93LE is assigned a "sequence number" showing which car it is among the 1500 that were produced. Mine is number 1331. It was also the 231st Miata built in 1993.

The 93LE was the first Miata available with many parts of what later came to be known as the "R" package suspension and cosmetic features. Among other differences, the 93LE has power steering and a smaller rear sway bar.

The 93LE is the only North American Miata featuring a red leather interior as well as stainless steel "Harley" kick plates.

The base MSRP was $21,290, and the only options available were an automatic transmission and a hardtop. This particular example has neither.

The 1993 Limited Edition was never shown in a sales brochure or in a print ad in the U.S. However, it did coincide with Mazda Canada's 25th anniversary, and was featured in the sales brochure there. Note that the spoiler in the photo is not the stock lip spoiler. It was installed by a previous owner.
