The Trunk
Sound deadening the trunk lid is easy...when u use expanding foam. just make sure to use the dap latex expanding foam for electrical fixtures. It wont buckle sheetmetal, like some expanding foam.

here it is...very safe on your car...unlike other stuff i used that buckled the sheetmetal...!!!

taking everything out...to make the install easier. i ran out of damping material, so i didnt cover all this up.

I did get to do the lid, which needed it bad, i hate a rattling trunk lid..!

As you can see...there is nothing to see after it was all put together. But the trunk closes w/a dead thud that wasnt there before.

I'm planning on using a different subwoofer setup and am currently experimenting. i wonder if this will work best once all 4 subs are installed. In the meantime, I'm using 2 subs to make placement easier..

As of now, this sounds very good on subbass notes, but u get into the 60hz range and it sounds terrible..like cone breakup...so i may try it in wedge form and see if it improves. ive heard this can cause distortion, but havent confirmed it on the lower frequencies...!
well, i may go back to this setup but for now, i salvaged and made my previous box work in this car:

3 10" solobaric subs.
Powered by:

Rockford Punch 800a2 bridged to a 2.67 ohm load.

Neon for the nightlife...
THINGS HAVE BEEN UPDATED MORE THAN ONCE...
Finally got a 400a4 that matched the 800a2 but one of the channels went out on me, so I managed to borrow this alpine in time to attend a competition, and got 1st place in sq...!

Then I finally got the 400a4 back!

As always, I can't ever leave anything alone. I finally decided to add an amp rack separate from the back of the box. Here are the pix:

UPDATES:
I just got a kicker zx600.4 for the door comps and i will soon be replacing the rf amp for a zx600.1...so i'll update when that is done. yes, i also got 2 15" solobarics. this isnt even close to being the final product...so stay tuned...:

The New setup. I am still testing for the best possible sound according to placement.
