The Foglight Switch Hack
While I was at it, I did some mods to the car, starting w/the Fog Light Switch modification. Originally, this car can only have the factory fog lights on when the headlights are on. But there is a way to bypass it!
The Factory Look
Taking off the driver side fuse panel again...This time, take off the two screws that hold the front panel in place.
There is that bottom screw back on so that I don't lose it while working on the car.
This goes to the light dimmer, take it off so you can get that front panel off enough to reach up w/both hands
There are the 5 wires after cutting the plastic sheath. Just splice and tie together the #3 and #4 wires. counting from left to right in the picture. they are wires red/white and black/red. I simply stripped the end of a wire, and cut it about 1 inch in length. Tied that around the stripped part of the two wires and taped it all up. Tested and put it all back together...
ready to go...I can still use the fog light switch when the parking lights are on or when the headlights are on, but still not able to have them when the brights are on...good enough for me..!
