Installing H&R Sport Springs
I ordered these springs a few days before xmas, but didnt get them in until about january 10th...so i barely got to it...the drop is 1.75 f/r and the look is just what i wanted. as for the ride quality, it is negligible. i love these springs...and now i can take corners alot faster, oh yeh...!!!

sorry, it was getting late

its easier to do this urself if you have an air compressor, impact wrench...well, you know, all the necessary tools and at least one buddy to help out. what we did was my friend jacked each corner up as i took the wheels off. then he started to get tools ready while i took off each strut assembly. id hand it to him and he took care of taking off and installing the springs, while i continued to take off the other 3 assemblies. then i put them back on as he handed them to me. it took us 3 hrs total since we didnt work fast and it was dark outside. plus we took time to eat while working....pizza...!!!!

an assembled strut, the new spring looks nice, but who cares, it will be as dirty as the old ones after a few weeks of driving....

here is the finished product...nice and lowered w/out being too low.

THE LATEST WHEELS AND DROP
yes, i upgraded to ground control coilovers...and got some nice 18" rims and zrated tires to boot!

more to come soon as the sun comes back up!
Here are the updated pix...i have to thank my little brother who is graduating this year. he has taken welding class for a few years and is the top student there. he made me top hats since the kit doesnt come w/them for my car, but i found that w/out them, the springs tend to sink into the rubber on the top end of the front strut assembly. i'll be installing these at a later date(when its not so hot) he also made me the collar adjustment tool, so i didnt have to buy one...it works perfectly. im gonna have to get him a good graduation present :0)

here are the top hats and tool my bro made!

this is what i have to do in order to get the jack underneath the car!!!

when the car is on the curb like that, the rear tire pretty much bottoms out...how close was it to the fender???

its about as close as you can get without rubbing the edge of the tire...phewwww, talk about getting lucky on the offset!

talk about still being close, even after lifting it somewhat.

another look at how close the tire is to rubbing the fender, but doesnt :0)

front drop

rear drop

yep, ya gotta love that drop!!!
