Info on my 99 Nissan Maxima

page 1: info/mods
page 2: pics
page 3: New red clears tails and new headlight pics

Note my runs where at almost 6000 ft in elevation and just for comparison that same night a srt4 ran a 15.1 at 94. I was also having some major problems that day but decided to get times anyway( horrible vacuum leak resulting in a big loss in power)

I bought the car back in Jan right before my 21st birthday It was a 1999 Maxima gxe auto with fog lights, and power seats. I have always loved the maxima. My dad was gonna give me his old 92 maxima back in Canada when I was old enough to drive, but things changed and my dad got tranfered to colorado which meant he had to sell the car :(. Well anyway I was really close to buyn one when I was 18 but found out that the insurance was gonna be too high, so i had to wait until now to finally get one.

Dyno
all dyno runs where made in 2nd gear so the #'s are a little lower than they really should be, so its hard to compare with other 4th gen automatics.

1. CAI-140 hp and 163 ft/lbs
2. CAI/Greddy sp/Rt Cat-150 hp and 167 ft/lbs
3. CAI/Greddy sp/Rt Cat/Y-pipe-167 hp and 195 ft/lbs
4. greddy sp, Rt Cat, and t4/to4e turbo 6psi--250 hp and 254 tq
5. greddy sp, rt cat/Variable intake/ t4/to4e turbo 6psi--267 hp and 250 tq

Quarter Mile Runs
1st time at the track with shitty conditions and elevation of 5830 Ft.
run 1- 16.953
run 2- 16.836
run 3- 16.817
I also had some pretty horrible 60' times, I need to improve my launch.

Went back to the track and got some new best times. I actaully got in 6 runs and i ran a best of 16.524 and just for comparison the best 5-speed time i know of so far is a 16.41 with intake and exhaust at the same elavation. have a new best time of 16.46, that was with me spinning through about 3500 rpm and my Vi wasn't working, im hopeing to break into the 15's with some good traction and with the Vi working.
