PERFORMANCE PAGE
Unfortunately, at first I neglected the performance side of the car. I have always wanted it to look good to me first and the time has come to where I can finally say Im happy with the exterior of the car.
Now (June 2003) I will be able to focus on performance mods so that it might live up to it's appearance.
FMII Turbo would be a dream but might not be realistic right now with college and all that is going on. A used coldside supercharger is more likey, but probablly still a year or two off.
Here is what I have done...
Here are my 16 inch Rota Subzeros with some Michelin Pilot SXGTs. They are 205/45. I like them and they seem to last quite a while. They stick very well and the rims are super light for the price.(14.6 lbs)

The strut tower brace does seem to help in stiffening the chassis. When I go over speed bumps at an angle the front doesnt flex as much but instead is more solid.
Here are the KYB AGX 8 way adjustable shocks with Flyn Miata springs (lower car about 1 1/2 inches) I ride on setting number 4, it is a bit stiffer then stock but when I want to go for a spirited drive I easily reach down and turn the knob to 6 or 7 for a very stiff and go kart like ride, they are very easy to change the stiffness.
Here is my current alignment from Roger Kraus Racing. It is a semi aggresive street setup. Not cheap at over $100 but why go cheap on something when youve spent so much on suspension modifications.
I ordered the FM sways. These are what Ive been waiting for, for quite some time... they are sweet! Car handles much flatter and the slight oversteer is fun I set them up on the furthest adjustment on the front bar and the middle adjustment on the rear bar.
I also bought McGard Sline Drive Lug Nuts since they will not rust over like the tuner lugs that came with my wheels.
Recent POWER MODS August 3rd 2003
I plan on staying normally aspirated for a while. I figure that the Enthuza exhaust with its oversized piping will accomodate up to a supercharger so I will go with them as the future is far from written. A 6.7 hp gain. Love the sound.

Intake is the rotomolded Goodwin Monsterflow Intake that just came out. It is was DYNO tested at a 10 hp gain. Really has seemed to be a great buy. The extra pull above 4k RPMs is very noticeable.
I made a custom cold air box this week (August 10th)
Go to projects page to see more pics on heashield. I plan to do some temperature testing, should prove to be a bout 50-60 degrees lower on intake side translating into 5 or so horsepower on a warm day.
I also bought some speedbleeders for quick and easy brake fluid changing. These rock! No more help is needed when bleeding the brakes, I can do it by myself.
