Hey hows it going.

I have had this van for about 5 months now. It was completly stock when it was bought, so any changes were done by me and my co worker Mike. I had bought it so I could build a IASCA competitor. For what ever reason I have always loved Astro Vans for this.
There are alot of changes so far and a lot more in the works. Please keep in mind that most of the things you see right now are temporaily, and is in the process of changing, hey how long can a a person go with out tunes?
The first thing to go was the stock sealed beam headlights, they were replaced with Liteglow comp headlights they house Toucan Industries crystal white high intensity Xeon gas bulbs.bassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro For my next trick I put in Liteglow warplite head light strobes that give an awsome blue strobe and look to the light. Fog lights were added in the form of Toucan Industries TF 1200 3 in 1 spot/fog/turn signal combo light what an amazing light!!!
The next change was the battery, stock was replaced with, a Optima Yellow top to help keep my tunes going when parked or shut down, with a whole heap of reserve power I can play for about two hours when the van is shut down.bassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro
The stock head unit was quickly removed and a Clarion DX 615 was put in it's place.bassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro The head unit feeds a Clarion APX 400.2 power series amp, which powers the 6.5 DCD speakers up front. The tweeters bassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro were mounted high in the doors and then the map pockets were moved back to allow the mids to be worked into the bottom of the doors.bassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro The crossovers for the components were mounted on the current kick pannels.bassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro New kick pannels are in the works to allow another set of DCD to be put up front to complete my front stage, along with another 400.2 amp, to run them.
The 400.2 is my choice for all my amps because it pushes hard, and is extremly versatile, not to mention a very small foot print, to fit perfectly under the drivers seat.
For the subs nothing special is going on in the van right now, in a quick build box there are two Clarion 10's pushed by another APX 400.2 Ampbassline_audio's 1989 Chevrolet Astro in a 2ohm config, it hits really hard for what it is but with so much changing I did not spend too much time and money on a box... Yet.
In the middle stages of being completed is a new back wall for the van wich will hold 2 or 4 more 10's and 3 or 5 more 400.2's. I want one for each sub so depending on the final # of subs the number of amps will change.
Above each rear window is a 15" blue neon rod that shines on the subs and the rest of the van giving a real "cool" look.

There will be two more longer bulbs going down each side window as well as a matching underbody kit, but right now all the time is spent on the new wall and the Ungo alarm/starter combo which is to be installed this week.
This page will be changing fairly regularly as new things get done new pics will be added.
The van has to be done by Spring for the 2002 IASCA circuit,so you can follow my progress with me.
