The 2005 season is over and he came in 7th overall. He bought a 94 Escort that will hopefully be ready for next season, so the the acadian may be retired now.
This is my dads Acadian Race Car, i dont know what year it really is so sorry if its not correct. We did the paint the hillbilly way with paintbrushes and rollers but it turned out pretty good.

My dad races this car at Victory Lanes Speedway just south of Winnipeg. He races it in the mini enduro which is a 100 lap race around an oval track thats open to 4 cylinder cars. If a car breaks down during the race its left where it is and the other drivers must avoid it.
To get the car race ready, the interior was gutted, all glass removed and the top was cut off to put the roll cage in. After the rollcage was in the top was welded back on. The back latch was also welded shut as were the doors and a thick metal plate was bolted across the drivers side door for extra protection.
This is a pic of me and my dad

I have an '87 Firebird if anyones interested in looking at it its the birds4life link under the friends list
