INTERIOR PICS
I decided to start dressing up the interior. I hope you guys like what I did with it!

One of the first things I wanted to do was to change the stock leather shift knob. I toyed around with the idea of different types of shift knobs, but I decided to go with the
3A Chrome Shift Knob w/Blue LED's. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a waste of money, so I wound up putting the stock shift knob back until I find another one that I like to replace it.

I also decided to go with some seat covers to dress up the interior a little bit. I decided to go with 3A's Racing Seat cover set. It's a nice looking set with some nice extras, like headrest covers and matching shoulderpads. Looks better than stock, and at $30, it's pretty darn nice lookin' too! Got tired of looking at the stock interior, so something had to be done!!! Be forewarned, though, I had to remove the backseat in order to install this properly, and I no longer have the use of my rear armrest, but you gotta compromise sometimes...

Not really an interior mod, but I finally got the windows tinted. It's a little darker than I originally wanted, but I really like the way it came out. I think it looks darker because the exterior paint is light in color (and now the interior is black/silver). It's really not that dark - even though it looks like a limo tint, you can still see through the windows pretty well. I just hope the cops don't sweat me too much with this tint on the front windows - L.A. cops are notorious for passing out tickets like volunteers passing out Gatorade at the L.A. Marathon!

Next interior mod was the chrome gauge template for the instrument cluster (won from e-Bay for just over $10!!!). I'm looking for a set of reverse glow gauges, but they've become scarce to say the least. In spite of all the screws I had to remove to get to it, the installation of the template was very easy to do.
As I mentioned above, I decided to paint the interior silver instead of going with the brushed aluminium dash trim kit. I added a coule of coats of clearcoat on it before I installed it, but I unfortunately scratched it in a couple of places during the reinstall (You can see it in the closeup of the chrome gauge above - I'll have to fix that). I may still go with the brushed aluminium kit, but they've become pretty scarce for this model Maxima as well.

Here's a couple pics of the front interior trim, driver's side and passenger side. I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out, although I wish it wasn't so windy when I decided to do it - I'm sure I'd have done a much better job, but it still came out OK. (Silver & Black, Baby!!!).

I also decided to seek out some 3A Racing diamond plate aluminium floormats, to round out the look. These things are hard to find, so after I find two more to put in the back, I'm calling it quits for the interior, that is, unless I luck up on some black leather seats somewhere...
