1/2/05 - SILVERMAX was the unfortunate victim of a flooded downtown L.A. street about a week ago while on my way to work. I tried to get through a puddle that was too deep and the CAI sucked water into the engine and seized the engine. Because of the price of a used engine and the crapshoot it will likely be to get a quality used engine, SilverMax is no more. Now that I have acquired a new ride, the transition will occur, but SilverMax will still be representing the 3rd Gens, albeit posthumously. Thanks for all the kind words and compliments I have received in the past, and I hope to win y'alls approval with what's in store for "Angel". I will definitely be taking ALL of the lessons learned from SilverMax over to the "Angel". Parts of this site will remain up for the benefit of all 3rd Gen Maxima owners who would like to see what I did with mine before it's untimely demise...
SilverMax is a 1989 Nissan Maxima SE, purchased in May of 2001 for $4500. The interior was very clean and along with a manual V-6 engine, I was pretty much sold. It also had 120,000 miles on it at the time of purchase.
