To see my main page please search for user SBNova listed in "my friends". The bug pictured on the trailer is my parts car, I have more pics of my 74 on the SBNova page, but they will be here soon.

Here is a shot of the 74;

The 74 is kinda rough. It has an engine, but its apart with a spun bearing. It *was* a 1914cc, with a weber progressive carb, an engle 120 cam, counterweighted crank, and a header. I never drove it, but I imagine it was quicker than the average 1600cc bug.

The tranny has been rebuilt. The car has disc brakes up front, KYB shocks all around, front and rear anti-sway bars, and adjustable lowered front beam, and fiberglass rear fenders that are 1 1/4" wider.

Here is the parts car.

The plan is to chop the top about 3 inches, which is why I have a parts car. To chop a VW top you need pieces from another roof, and pieces of the door tops. The doors will be suicide, and it will be lowered. I want stock type chrome rims, with 195/60-15 rear tires and 145/15 fronts. I plan to build the engine to just over 2 liters, and maybe put a small turbo on it.

Got any VW parts for cheap? Let me know- SBNova@Yahoo.com

Stay tuned....

Suicide doors are cool! Great idea :) I like the pics of a restoration of Beetles. Reminds me on my own work the last 14 month. Stop by if you want!
