Nice and clean interior

RadiomanRI's 2001 Honda Civic

I had the radio installed because I didn't want to put up with the hassle. I heard these Honda dashboards are a pain! All the power and audio cables were installed also.

Doesn't look that good.

(UPDATE 8-17-02)
Well. Now that I have been compensated I can say that the place that installed my radio and wires really messed up my dashboard. I won't say who did it but it certainly was not the BEST installation I have seen (Seeing how I have been installing for quite a few years I would have installed all of this myself but I figured that they would be able to run everything while installing the alarm.)

Needless to say that a few weeks after I filed the complaint for the damage to my dashboard I started to get electrical interference noise every now and then. A few weeks later it was happening almost all the time. It would be fine for a while then Bzzzzzzzzzzzz. That very annoying noise we all hate. I was really starting to get upset. My radio wasn't even working. And I paid money for this. So. Back to the drawing board.

I went and took the radio out the right way (Pop the vents out, pop the cover where the accessory outlet is, then remove the screw(s)on the bottom, and put pressure from behind until it pops out.) Not try to pry it out with a flat head screwdriver like they did! And look what I found when I removed the radio.

And here is what it looked like after I cleaned up the mess. When I gave them the parts to put in I had actually soldered the connections. Why they cut them up and put caps is another story.

I should have just done it myself in the first place.

As for the monitor. It will be mounted in the accessory outlet for now.

I also bought some new toys for the monitor. Hopefully I will be able to get to install them soon.

Here is what the setup looks like for now. I had to custom fabricate the mount for the Four.1 out of ABS.

I am waiting for another factory radio assembly so I can glass this one. I am sure it will look alot better when it is all 1 piece.
