Today I will be installing a 6" component set in the front doors. I was going to use a 5.25" set but the 6" set fit. As stated previously the car had proprietary speakers. What I did was I modified the proprietary speakers to house the 6" speakers. The tweeters are going to be up near the door handle.

Here is a quick view of my modification to the speakers.

Now to the install. First I will cut a hole for the flush mount tweeters.

The mount does not fit flush because there is a curve in the door. To fix this I am going to heat the plastic on the door and press the mount into it so that it sits as flush as possible.
