Hello, fellow Miata lovers,
I have a few beauty shots of my new 2001 LS for your enjoyment.
Here she is parked on my front lawn. Isn't she pretty, even standing still? You should see her on the road--she is poetry in motion. Heads turn when she passes by, leaving smiles in her wake.
She loves to pose for the camera...see how she smiles when she knows that others will be admiring her. She's a doll, and she knows it.
She isn't modest, either. Here she is with in all her glory, her heart and soul exposed for all to see. All I can do is gasp when I see her like this, and promise her that soon, very soon, she and I will be together, rolling down the road as one, taking the sharpest of curves with ease, and responding to my every command without complaint.
Seriously, though, I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and I hope to post more in the future. I had a loyal and steadfast RX-7 from '82 to '94, which was a lot of fun although the steering seemed vaguely imprecise. After its run, I traded it in for a '94 Mustang GTconvertible...this car was a world apart from the Rotary Rocket, heavier, wider and more powerful. It's best attributes were its effortless acceleration, but it seemed to be lacking something, something I couldn't quite put my finger on...
In '99, the GT was totalled by an inattentive 70 year old man who made a left turn right in front of me without looking. I escaped with no injuries, but he wasn't so fortunate and had to spend a few weeks in the hospital. He's OK, though, and I was forced to drive my wife's beater, an '89 Integra, for the last 2 years. In the meantime, my insurance settlement was earning interest in a CD.
I had sat in a '89 Miata in the dealer's showroom and marvelled at how well the car fit me and how tight the shifter felt. Last week was our 10th wedding anniversary. What a great opportunity if there ever was one... and I was off to the local Mazda dealer to find my dream car waiting for me on the lot. And the rest is history.
