Update 2002:
New tires
New gears on the way
Future plans
BadLands trip Dec. 22, 2001

Well, even though my Pirelli Scorpion AT's had plenty of tread left after 35k miles, I had a trip to the BadLands Off-Road Park in Attica Indiana planned for Dec. 22nd and knew AT's just wouldn't cut it with all of the wet semi-warm weather from the previous weeks.

So....... I picked up a set of 31x10.50R15 Cooper STT mud terrain tires.

Here they are on the Amigo:

On Dec. 22, 2001 I took a trip to BadLands Off-Road Park with Rick Cashen, Dave Harness, and a man named Eric who I did not previously know. The park was amazing, much much more difficult than I ever imagined, but sooo much fun! I don't have any pictures from the trails because my g/f was very scared on the trails and getting out to take pictures was the last thing on her mind. But below are a few pictures from the Playground area and Rock Quarrey, both of which are much easier than the trails but still a good time.

Dave's Trooper, Eric's Explorer, My Amigo 1st gen., Rick's Amigo 2nd gen.

Big thanks to Dave and Rick for inviting me and showing me around the park for the first time!

On the way I have a set of 5.38 differential gears from Tera Company. I also plan on a rear ARB air-actuated locker and some Tera Low Gears for my t-case. With the Tera Lows and Tera Gears I will have a 62.2:1 crawl ratio, a great improvement over the 35:1 stock ratio. As always, more as it develops!
