First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my page!! I greatly appreciate it!!
I really need to thank Mel Harris at Kandyland Auto for the completion of the body work project!! He executed the plan for the project perfectly!I wanted the paint to achieve the "wet look" and he gave me what I asked for! He went through multiple finishing steps to ensure the paint looked flawless. I would recommend Kandyland in a heartbeat to anyone who's serious about their vehicle.
I've taken the car to the Chicago Dub Show back on July 2nd, 2006 and to other car shows in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas since then. The car has been a huge success and despite the non-factory color, people really like it! Everyone thinks it is a body kit at first glance until I tell them that all of the factory body panels were modified. Many people were asking me, "Is it fast? How much HP? What's it do in the quarter?" Well, that's next. Check the next page for their answer to those questions......
Back to the body and regarding the color, I was scared at first to paint the car yellow, so much so that I almost painted it a 2006 Lamborghini red an hour before it was to be sprayed. The exterior is bold and bright, and you can spot it for at least a 1/2 mile. It's not your traditional color BMW (white, silver, black), but every now and then it is okay to think outside of the box. I even had most purists tell me they like it. The exterior is done, now on the interior and more importantly, backing up the looks with turbocharging the engine and the 6 speed conversion!!
UPDATE:
My car was recently featured in the Readers' Cars section in the November issue of Performance BMW, the magazine from the UK.

Here's the section on my car.

To be fully featured, I'm going back to the lab to work on the interior, ICE, and the powertrain.

This picture was taken in front of Concours Motors in Greendale, WI.
