Heres the latest progress the old front end is out and will not be reused.. in its place will be a fatman with independent suspension, bags and disc brakes..

Heres some in-process pics of the 440 rebuild... The old pistons will be replaced, valve covers will bite the dust, might reuse the conecting rods..

Heres the 440 block it has never been bored so there is plenty of meat.

Heres the old front end with the flathead pulled and it in the back of my nissan.

The 440 came with an edlebrock rpm performer intake ive cleaned up and will reuse, atop that will be an AED 850cfm carb. The motor will be paired up with a 727 tranny to a dana rear end held on with bags and a four link. The front end will be replaced with a fatman, which will include wishbone suspension, airbags, and disc brakes.

**Update 05/12/06**
I've since grown weary of that ol' flat head, it's done a good service... but its day has come. Its time for a new faze in this ol trucks life.. time to toss out those tiny 14" wheels, yes,.. its 440 time. Updates of the complete rebuild and further details soon to come.

This is my 57' dodge pickup. Her drive train is stock and original, flat head 6, three speed on the floor.

The interior has been redone, it looks great and really adds to the style
