forty4ma9's 1987 Dodge Aries

My car is a 1987 Dodge Aries and very far from a fancy or fast car. It is the same as a Plymouth Reliant and they are often know as K-Cars. Well I have this K-Car as my College-Car and it runs well so it should work. The color, sky blue, really makes it look at a little old lady's car but that can be good for a stealth install as I head off to college in Fall '01.

The system currently consist of...
JVC KD-S640 Headunit (low line really wanna replace but too poor right now)
Factory Dash Speakers (EVIL...faded all the way to back and I love front stage if that tells you how bad they are)
Pioneer TS-A5713 (2-Way 5x7's rearfill)
Cadence a5hc amplifier (My pride and joy aka "My Baby")
2 Eclipse 86120.4 Subwoofers (Sealed w/1.25 cubes each chamber)
---------------------------------------------
Future Wants/Upgrades...
Kickpanels or Doorpods to actually give me a front stage (Needed SOOOOOO Badly!)
New Headunit with at least 4-volt preouts preferable 3 sets
Full range Amp for fronts (prob a long time away :( )

This photo didn't turn out like I wanted it was to show the box and trunk but it give you an idea of how the back would look.

Now on too the best part of audio systems the low end. This is the second install in my car as the first was a prefab hatch style box that left to much wasted space. So I designed a box the would fit in the very back area of the trunk, but then i got really motivated and decieded to build a false floor and surface mount the amp. This forced me to have the subs fire up toward the rear dash. Now everything looks clean and simple and it protects the subs from anything that might get halled in the trunk and even leaves some space. I left a removable panel that allowed me to access the spare tire is ever needed. Here are the pics...

forty4ma9's 1987 Dodge AriesShowing the use of a double front baffle that allows the subs to be flush mounted, makes it stronger and just sweet looking at the same time.
forty4ma9's 1987 Dodge AriesMy Baby, the Cadence a5hc. Class D 600 wrms at 2 ohmn and all the features you could want for a rock solid amplifier.
forty4ma9's 1987 Dodge AriesAnother shot of the flush mounting for the amp, looks so cool!

Hope to get the front stage up and going and if I do I'll try to update. Thanks for looking,
Jason
