car is SOLD, sold it to a guy off clubgp.com in wisconsin he said he got it going by replacing the, "crank sensor" and runs fine, crank sensor is a timing thing for shifting gears from what i was told..like a 30 40 dollar part

this is my 1992 Grand Prix GTP it has all the available options, i bought it off a buddy at work this past christmas of '04 he said it was sitting in his dads garage for almost 2 years, i was finally able to get it out of there like a week ago of June '05 and over to my dads on his car trailer, it needs some work to get it going again and im in the process of buying parts for it.

6-19-05(UPDATE): now waiting on the last 3 of the fuel injectors to come in then ill have all 6 injectors, suppose to be the 21 or the 22 of June. Also installed left rear strut, got new tires on front. Wanted to spray the left rear wheel well with this rubber coating, the guy i bought it off sprayed the right rear with it and it looks amazing like brand new wheel well but probably wont get to coating it this weekend, it might be a little hard to coat to since the strut is in the way now (i know to mask it off with newspaper) but it will be hard to get behind the strut.
Also installed a new Diehard battery...when i installed the battery i went inside to put windows down (their power windows) turn key half way over and i see very light SMOKE coming from my steering wheel down by the switch for brights i then turned key back off, Scared shitless mind you..sat there thinking and went to turn key back towards me and no smoke..now today i went back out there and tried turning key over and it started to smoke AGAIN, so im prolly gonna have to tear apart the steering wheel housing and see whats melting/what broke. To those of you that want a older GP i just wanna say i hope you have money to spend on it.

Well i rubber coated my rear driver side wheel well looks tons better, also got my last 3 fuel injectors in from autozone (they had to speical order them) so i now have all 6 injectors, so now i need to get in touch with my dads buddy (he's a pontiac tech) to help me install the injectors and the 3 new coil packs. I also have to buy 4 calipers Somebody wanna paypal me some money? :)
I came apon this site though www.l67swap.com VERY informotive info about swapping a l67 into the grand prix along with some other cars..so check it out ill add the site to my fav's also.

Update: 6-26-05
Well i have all the injectors in. That was a job in a half..jeez, 2 coil packs are in of 3, while the big plate that covers the injectors is off (plenum). I'm replacing the EGR valve gaskets (2) they were trash. o also DO NOT BUY the EGR valve gaskets at, Auto Zone their like 11 dollars each, get them at Advanced Auto their like 2 bucks each. (their the same gaskets so dont worry), have to re route spark plug wires..guy that owned the car never put them on right, but im going to go buy some ac/delcos their stock plugs and are the best for my car. Will check spark plugs also, next weekend i hope to have new spark plug wires (ac delco's) installed with the 3 coil packs installed also, and the EGR gaskets (new) installed along with the plenum back on.
