This is my home-brew stereo system for my '85 Chevy Caprice Station Wagon. I don't have a good picture of it, but there's a computer in the car with 5000+ mp3s that are fed to the AUX IN on the Blaupunkt Richmond CD45 hu. From there it powers the front speakers and the line out goes to my amps. I have a 'Coustic u268 and a Kenwood KAC600 (I think those are the models). I got all this stuff from friends except some of the computer parts and the 4ga power cable. This was my first system and I plan to do a lot better on the next. Page 2 will be of my new S10.

Profile of the car. Yes, it is in VERY good condition.

Nice little turn down extension, eh? Notice the stainless mud flaps.

The air induction intake.

My engine mods are quite modest, heh. Custom air induction, K&N filter, new alt when my stereo killed the last one.

Almost all the wires come back to this compartment in the rear.

The amps on their rack.

I have fans blowing air directly on the circuits of the amps. No more bass cutting out because it gets like 160F in the compartment.

I have a fan sucking air out of the compartment, too.

See the amps and speakers?

Now you don't! Heh

Here's the dash. You see the blaupunkt with the little green LED for the computer's hard drive on the upper right of it, the police scanner, and the VFD in between the fans. The VFD shows the artist, the title, play status (pause, stop, play), time left, and track number of the mp3 currently playing. The last line says The Shagginwagon. :)

These are all the wires running under the dash.

Here's the neons in the headliner.
