New XSPower Stainless Steel Performance Headers
Notice the differences between the factory and aftermarket headers. The new headers are 15-18 lbs lighter than the ceramic ones. Nice chrome finished, but hardly seen unless you have it on a lift. This modifications was very time consuming. It took a whole day to remove the old and install the new. Be prepared before starting this job by having plenty of tools around you. Each header has 12 bolts to remove which total to 24 bolts when you are finally finish. Ensure to buy six 10MM, 1 3/4" bolts and nuts for the bottom flanges of the headers. Depending on your E36 model, each header has an oxygen sensor. Mine already had one connecting at the catalytic converter piping. The main socket wrench to use is 7/16mm. You better have a lot of patient before committing yourself to this job. At the end it is worth all the hard labor!
