Hey this is my 1978 Ford Fairmont!! This thing is junk its not street leagal... never will be... This picture shows the old rust bucket on our front cement with the rear door missing, hood gone, and dents everywhere! I put this car on car doamin because it runs! It was sitting outside in our yard for about 13 years when my parients got a newer car and let this one sit. (rear wheel drive in winter is horrible) Last year 2004 i had some time on my hands and wanted to get it running. So we did this is a huge V8 engine my dad threw in it about 13 years ago and only got about 1000 miles! i will tell more about the car later

This is where i HIT THE GAS BABY oh yeah this thing moves let me tell you the muffler fell off and it only has a cat on so its really noisy so when you hold her in 1st gear and give her oh its so sweet! like i said she moves i wish i could take it on the road so bad... but with no lights, no floors, no muffler..... no FRAME not good..! the break lines were all rusted off, so we bent our own lines from the master cylender around to the front wheels so we have 2 brakes.. front only! better than nothin...

This is a picture of the ford's rear. It would have been ok if i would not have backed the thing into a huge tree twice... But who cares! This picture was taken last year, so i can update for today. The rear gas tank fell off and is dragging. The only support thats holding it is the filler cap! (the tank never held gas since i had it running, it had huge rust holes in it.. we have a wheel horse gas tank mounted in the front fender area.

Update as of sunday june 12th (New fuel line from rigged gas can to fuel pump) (covered transmission cooler line with rubber hose where the metal line rusted) i drove the car around a little when i heard this loud THUMP and then dragging... Oh crap i said now what.. Well i get out thinking the transmission fell off or a wheel locked up. To my suprise the gas tank that was no longer in use just decieded to fall off! It was hanging/dragging by a small rubber fuel line and some wires where the fuel gauge hooked up to! Easy fix Got my wire cutters cut both objects off threw the tank on the scrap pile and away i went! (note my automatic trunk pull down- a lug nut wrench that weighs about 15 pounds:)
Any body care for a ride around the yard? You will soon be able to click a link and watch a video of the ford running and moving!
