LIGHTING
Note: Some pictures may be blurry, but will become more clear when enlarged.

2002 Maxima HIDs were purchased from Dave Burnette from Town North Nissan. A couple Maxima.org members (BigDogJonx and IceY2K1 provided us with their write-ups of the wiring process.

Here are two pictures of the HIDs and Xtreme White fog lights aimed at the ground.

Here are two different side angles of the lighting.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima The PIAA Plasma 60/55W H4 headlight bulbs give a slight purple "HID-like" glow which goes nicely with the amber signal bulbs. The visibility isn't as good as stock. Not on car anymore

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima This is the box the Plasmas came in. These bulbs supposedly work like 110/100W bulbs. NOTE: Those are the stock bulbs in the packaging.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima I had PIAA Super White 55W foglight bulbs before switching over to the PIAA Xtreme White bulbs.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima The PIAA Xtreme White 55W H3 foglight bulbs perform like 110W. They have a temperature rating of 4150K. These bulbs are much brighter than the stock bulbs. NOTE: Those are the stock bulbs in the packaging.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima The Xtreme White bulbs gives off a white light with a tinge of blue.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima This is a picture of the PIAA Plasma headlights, PIAA Xtreme White foglights, and Polarg Visual G Series signal bulbs.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima PIAA Plasma Blue wedge bulbs (194) were used for the front and rear clear markers. NOTE: Those are the stock bulbs in the packaging.

On the left is a closeup of the PIAA Plasma Blue bulb in the rear clear marker. On the right is a far shot.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima Polarg Visual G series bulbs were used for the front and rear turn signals. The front bulbs are dual filament (1157) while the rear bulbs are single filament (1156). Front bulbs are not on car anymore

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima The purpose of the Visual bulbs is to be as clear as possible during the day, but produce the same lighting at night. Not on car anymore

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima A Raybrib Hyper wedge bulb (194) was used for the trunk light. NOTE: Those are the stock bulbs in the packaging.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima Blue LED wedge bulbs were used for the step lights. Mingo bought them from Taiwan and sold them at the NorCal Maxima meet.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima The LED bulbs actually look purple instead of the blue shown in the picture. These bulbs do not give off much lighting.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima Red Polarg Hybrid bulbs were used for the brake lights to give a deeper, richer red while braking. NOTE: That is the stock bulb in the packaging.

A super white Polarg Hybrid bulb was used for the map light. NOTE: Those are the stock bulbs in the packaging.

A super white Polarg Hybrid bulb was used the for dome light. NOTE: Those are the stock bulbs in the packaging.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima Super white GiGaLux bulbs were used for reverse lights. The higher wattage bulbs produce more light for me to see through my tint. NOTE: That is the stock bulb in the packaging.

A blacklight is clipped onto the bottom of the driver's side and passenger's side of the seat.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima Two blue LEDs were spliced into the alarm and placed on the a-pillars to give the a-pillars a bright blue glow each time the LEDs flashed.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima This shows a view from the passenger's side (outside) of the car. The blue glow can be seen illuminating the a-pillars.

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima The blue Varad Gothic scanner is spliced into the alarm and displays different light patterns (depends on what pattern was chosen). The scanner is placed behind the rear view mirror (facing the front of the car).

Norcal_Maximas's 2000 Nissan Maxima Raybrig Hyper White Bulb For Running Light With HIDs. The stock bulb that came with the HID was not white enough. The contrast in color was not eye appealing, so Raybrig bulbs were put in to come as close to the HID color as possible.

Click here to see an mpeg of the scanner and LEDs in action just after I arm my car 1.28M
