This page is about my 1992 Cavalier Z24.

This is powered by a Pyramid America Series 1000w amplifier and a PowerAcoustik Crossover.
The Mids are Sony XPlod 6x9's and Pyramid 3 1/2's in the factory loactions. HU is a sony cdx-360, which was recently scrapped in favor of a Kenwood 315s.
I installed everything myself and only have about 20 hours and $800 tied up in it.
Here are the planned upgrades.
Amps: 2 PowerAcoustik FI2X-820's, each powering 1 12" JL 12W6. 1 Orion Cobalt Series 500.5 5 Channel Powering Sony 6 1/2" Mids in the rear deck replacing the 6x9's and a Second set of the 6 1/2's in the doors. The Fifth channel is reserved for later use, probably an 8" Midbass woofer located in the rear deck.
The Head unit will remain the same, adding a Kenwood KDC-C717 10 Disc Changer.
Scrapping The PA Crossover for a PhoenixGold BassCube. Or I might use both, dunno yet. And Installing an existing Pyramid 7 band Graphic EQ for more control over the system.
