milzie's 2000 Honda Civic The car is a 2000 Honda Civic SiR. The audio system was extensively upgraded for the ultimate in SQ performance. My first show was the 2001 Spring Break Nationals in which I recieved top honors in USAC Novice 301-600 with a score of 289.9. The shiny thing on the windshield is the trophy I recieved. The photo was taken on Daytona Beach.

Below are a few photos of the audio sytem. I will update this page with a few more photos........someday.

milzie's 2000 Honda Civic The heart of the audio system is an Alpine CDA-7969. It is flush mounted in a custom machined aluminum trim bezel in the factory location. The aluminum trim bezel was then sandblated and painted black to match the factory plastic. A vinyl sticker was then made to "break up" some of the black below the headunit.

milzie's 2000 Honda Civic This is a photo of the drivers kick. They were custom aimed and built for an optimum soundstage. The speaker of choice was 6" Image Dynamics Chameleons mounted coaxially.

milzie's 2000 Honda Civic This photo shows the passenger kick with the grill removed.

milzie's 2000 Honda Civic The trunk showing the amplifier rack and the Image Dynamics 10's. The amp rack is motorized in which the front mounted amp raises out of the floor and the rear mounted amp raises with respect to the front mounted amp to give a "staircase" appearance. This allows for easy access to the gains and crossovers on the sides of the amps.

milzie's 2000 Honda Civic A shot of the left side of the trunk. You can see the amps raised out of the floor as well as the Image Dynamics equalizers. The Image Dynamics crossovers are mounted in the left quarter panel.

milzie's 2000 Honda Civic This is the left side of the trunk in which once again you can see the amps raised out of the floor as well as the Image Dynamics equalizers. The rear side panel houses what I like to call my nuclear power plant. It houses 14 relays, 17 ATC fuses, 1 AGU fuse block, 1 ANL fuse holder, and a 4 position ground block. All ATC fuses have status LED's to quickly verify their condition.
