Next was to add new steel in the spaces that were left after we moved the frame work.
The next thing to be worked on was to put the bullet taillights in and get rid of the ugly newer taillights that the previous owner put in to replace the old style 1978 taillights. We had to cut a lot of steel out to remove the complete taillight pots.
These bullet taillights were in the old alien that was in the fire, we cut the pots out and sandblasted them for this van. The new glass lenses are off a Peterbuilt transport truck, Boopvanner found them at Peterbuilt they are a watermelon colour but will work great with a red bulb behind them. Sure beats trying to find the ones that were in the old van off a '59 Caddy.
