DING, DING, DING, DING
This is my friend Peter, He and I are going to dry sand it with 1000 grit and then reclear the van This is what the van looked like the following Saturday after Easter
At the end of saturday the van looked like this, we mised over the hole van in blue, which softened up the silver; then we recleared the hole thing again 1st coat with different pearls, then two coats chromatic clear. This time I was more happy with the results.
For all you none believers, that think the blower is a fake; have a look inside, those are vains or rotors, which ever you prefer.
these pictures aren't the best but there ledgible considering the weather condition we had at the Superchevy Show
These are the vechiles i went to the show with. The little red van ran 13.413 at 108mph and the little blue S10 went 9.956 at 138mph, and that is with a shut down at the 1000 foot mark because he blew the upper rad hose and the truck started moving around so off the gas and no brakes untill he got to under 100mph. nise to see my work really perforom.
Well i made to the show, got lucky enought to be able to park on the pavement; good thing too, because the ground was really soft from all the rain we have had as of late.
Well low and behold my hard work didn't go un-noticed; i took an outstanding award for creativity, and having some major traffic at my van for most of the day, almost like a peoples choise award. After receiving my award one of the show officials came up to me to offering his congradutations on my van, and told me all winners earn a spot in the Super Chevy Magizine. He also went on to say that it will be the first time a van as been in the magizine in over Twenty Years. YEAH!! The 12.20 i got at over 130mph says it kept blowing the tires off for the first 1/8 mile, and the last 1/8 mile was done in what seem to be a blink. not to bad for doing it in street trim, steet tires and through the exhaust. Next time i will try it with the slicks.
This is my friend, Jim, with his wife,(hotty)Patty, they got a second place award. if you got to see all this van, you would soon see why it is such a nice ride. Even tho this van looks like a plan jane van with nice wheels, don't be fooled; this van is no light weight. This van is a factory 4 gear, witha really sassy little small block in it. You tuner guys; have some cool rides as well, but if you pull up beside this one at the lights, you might want to consider leaving this one alone. It is way quicker then it appears.
Well this is what it is all about. This is my friend Glenn and I, he is the owner of a dodge van called Glass Eagle; we got the big prizes, Beat of Awards, Genn took best exterior, and I took best engineered. Finally our hard work and countless hours are paying off. These are trophies from the biggest event of the year;
