My Camaro passion all started when I was in grade 12. I just loved the way the third gen Camaros looked. So I started browsing the Auto Traders and the Buy and Sell, and came across a 1984 sport coupe. There was nothing really special about this car because it only had the 2.8L V6, automatic, and had a brown exterior with a tan interior. After driving the car for a couple years, I got bored of it and sold it. After buying and selling two other vehicles after the Camaro, I decided to start searching for another one. I had a good paying job, so I was going to make sure I would get a good one.
The first Camaro I came across was a 1991 RS. This car had a 305 TBI, 5 speed, and looked mint. I took it for a test drive down the gravel road (the owner lived not far off the highway) and as I braked for the stop sign, I almost put the car in the ditch. The passenger front brake grabbed so hard I just about ditched her. When i got on the highway, I put the pedal to the floor to see what it could do. The damn car was so GUTLESS that the Ricers would blow its doors off. When I got back to the owners house, I checked the car over and noticed that whoever did the exhaust, did a piss poor job because the tips were sticking out at different lengths. After all this, I wanted no part of this car, besides the fact that he was asking way too much for it.
The second Camaro I found was another 1991 RS. This car only had a V6, with an automatic and was in pretty good shape. I took it for a test drive and wasn't surprised by the lack of performance, but everything else seemed ok. When I got back to the owners house, I checked the car over, and just for shits and giggles, I took the spare tire panel off because I knew it was a bad place for collecting water. Sure enough there was quite a bit of water in there, so I decided to pass on this car as well.
The third Camaro I found was a 1986 IROC-Z. It had a carb 305, 5 speed and also was in good shape. I took it for a ride and it seemed not too bad (ok performance). The thing that I didn't like about this car was the color. The exterior was navy blue, with a tan interior and tan rims. I didn't want this car either.
The fourth Camaro was a 1984 Z28. It had a carb 305, 5 speed, and was in rough shape. I took it for a ride, but I wasn't impressed with the overall shape of the car. After debating for a while, I decided to buy it because it was cheap, and I thought it would make a good project car. I asked my buddy to come and help me take out the motor and tranny, and we had them out in a few hours. On a different day I completely gutted the interior (it was disgusting). The floor was total rust. Once I realized how much money I would have to sink into this car to make it road worthy and look good, I decided to keep searching for another Camaro. (You can see this car in my engine pics).
The fifth Camaro I found is this 1988 IROC-Z on this page. When I saw it in the Auto Trader I knew I had to have it. So I phoned the owner on a Sunday afternoon and asked if I could see it. He said that there was three other people coming down to look at it. I told him I was only in the city for the weekend because my job was out in the country. So he told me to come down right away. I phoned up one of my buddys to ask him if he, and his brother (great mechanic) would come and look at it. So when we all got there, I took the car for a ride. I was really impressed with what the 305 TPI could do. When we got back, we checked the car over and everything seemed good. I told the owner I wanted to buy it, but I couldn't that day because the banks were closed. I had to phone my boss and ask if I could have Monday off to buy a car and he said no problem (great boss). The owner and I worked out a deal and I asked him to tell the other three people that the car was sold, and I would guarantee that I would be back the next day with the money, and he agreed. We both held up our ends of the bargain and to this day, I haven't been more pleased about a vehicle purchase.

Right now I'm paying off my quad loan as well as a mortgage so any mods right now will be few and far between. When I do something to the car, I will take pictures and post them asap.

This is my 1988 IROC-Z. The car has a 305 TPI, professionally rebuilt 5 speed tranny, K&N air filters, 2 1/2" exhaust, a superchip, and a Viper alarm.
Here's some exterior pics.

My radio antennae got broken during winter storage and I still don't know who did it.
The grass was wet the day I took these pictures (you can see where I spun up the grass).

I plan on replacing this hood with an IROC turbo hood.

This is the view the Ricers are used to seeing.

The interior is in really good shape with the exception of the driver seat which has a tear in it.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! The pics of clean engine were taken with a $9.00 disposable camera and they turned out pretty good.

This is my shotgun riding babe.

Thanks for checking out my car, please rate it and leave a comment in my guestbook.
