dagimp's 1995 Dodge Stealth Audi 90CS Quattro Turbo. New Daily Driver has replaced the Sebring (see the Sebring in front of it, a couple of days before I turned it in). The Audi is of course not as new, but I was unable to do any extreme modding to the Sebring because it was a lease car. See Page 8 for future updates to this ride!

dagimp's 1995 Dodge Stealth *** UPDATE - this car is history *** New daily driver! Just picked up the new '03 Sebring LXi and ONE day later I have bass! Just a quickie system of components I already had laying around- (2) Blaupunkt Comp Series 12's and (2) JBL GTS180x's. I was SOOO mad when the box wouldn't fit in the trunk- so I ripped out the back seat and was able to sneak it in! At least I didn't have to crack open the dash for this setup- I didn't even need to run remote wire- I tapped into my rear spkr wires for amp input, and that acts as the remote turn-on! Check out my new chrome grill (the braces!!!) Can you believe the braces pic is only a month old, and the Playboy pic is 6 months ago?!?!?

[5/2002] Ha, I finally got something done! Actually, I got it ALL done (except for the new front end- see Page 2 for progress). The JVC head unit is SOOOO sweet. Looks, features, performance... The overboost controller sits behind a smoked panel. The panel folds down and you tap the unit to make it pop out (pneumatic cylinder). Originally, I wanted the whole thing electronic (push a button to open the door and pop it out). Note on JVC MP3, you can have multiple directories on your disc, but you must have at least ONE MP3 file in the root directory or the unit will not be able to read the disc at all.

5/29/02 Oh, crap! How could I possibly explain this one? Don't worry, this is actually one of my 17"s on my Stratus coupe (daily driver). But that is a 6" long closed-end of a wrench that SOMEHOW got almost completely engulfed by my tire!!! The guy at the shop could not dislodge the wrench, even after he pulled the tire off the rim! There goes another $125. I wasn't even speeding!

dagimp's 1995 Dodge Stealth See Page 6 for Full Schematic - JVC head unit has 5v pre-amp outputs, sent to ** JBL GTS150 (front Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2" + 1" separates) ** JBL GTS150 (rear 6x9 Rockford Fosgate 2way) ** Orion XTR900 (Blau spun aluminum DVC subs)
Each JBL amp hides behind a folding rear seat, out of site. The Subs and Orion are framed by a vinyl-wrapped finishing plate. The tweeters were custom-mounted in each door near the A-pillars, and the OEM door speaker grills were replaced with homemade fabric grills.

[4/2002] Bought New JVC MP3 Head Unit (the first KD-SH909 from Crutchfield; it wasn't even listed on their Website yet!). UPDATE: I found out from JVC that this head unit is not compatible with some CD-R media. I sent them 20 'good' discs and 20 'bad' discs, along with my unit, thinking there was something wrong with it. They said those discs didn't play in ANY of their 909's, so it isn't a issue!!! I will never buy JVC again.

[3/2002] OK, Performance mods now grace the 3SI sheetmetal. K&N hi-flow intake, HKS over-boost controller with bleeder valve, and Borla takin' the hot air out (no catalytics).

[12/2001] Tunes continue to come from Nakamichi, but I plan to replace the Nak with a JVC Digifine 99 (brushed metal face with MP3 playback).

[6/2001] The stereo install is complete! [Little did I know I would be gutting that Nakamichi system like a fish in less than a year!]

[9/2000] I am not a professional car audio installer or anything, but I decided to see what kind of system I could design for my Stealth. [DIGITS is born; no longer a car, but my best friend for the next two-to-three years]. At the peak of teardown, the vehicle looked like it was just starting down the assembly line!!!
