ricks84z28's 1985 Chevrolet Camaro

This page looks into the future of my 85 Z28. This will explain all the plans for the car in full detail. Note these are in no particular order.

-First off we will start with a new set of 17" wheels. I have choosen to go with 17" wheels because they handle much better that the stock 15" wheels and give it that more agressive look. After looking at many wheels I decided to go with a set 17" ROH ZS wheels wrapped in 275/40/17. Below is a picture of my Z with the wheels put on it in paint. Looks pretty sweet you can see why I have choosen to go with them.

Soon after the rims i am going to tightening up the old worn out chasis/suspension. I am going to start a set of lowering springs which I have not decided on. I do know that I want it between a 1.5" to 2"lower. (Picture done in photoshop below) Then on too sub-frame connector and a strut tower brace to tighten up the over all chasis. And finally Polyurethane Bushings all around and a set of Spohn solid chrome moly sway bars to reduces body roll and increases cornering capability.

Then an ASCD SS hood. Here is a picture I did in photoshop to get an idea of what it will look like.

-Then we'll move on to the power plant. (See page 4) I have decided to go with a forth generation Lt1. I have choosen this motor because it comes stock with plenty of power and has tons of potential for modification. I plan to mate this Lt1 up with a Borg Warner t-56 6speed manual transmission. Below is a list of modifications I have planned.
Engine/LT1
-Outside of manifold polished and detail painted to match ground effects
-Inside manifold ported and polished decked and blended
-Heads ported and polished and flow tested and gasket matched
-Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
-APR bolts
-1.6 roller rockers and springs
-Felpro gaskets
-Comp Cam 502/520 224/236
-Underdriven pullies
-Headers
Borg Warner t-56
-B&M ripper shifter
-SLP dual friction clutch
-SLP throw out bearing
-SLP pressure plate
-CAGS delete

Stay tuned for many nore future plans!!
