My 1972 Mach 1 started out as a joke. I ended up getting the car without fully realizing what all I had. The car pretty much fully blew up, so I started the rebuild.

Starting with body work, I replaced the rear quarters from a parted out wrecked 72 convertible. Luckily the soldering and welding wasn't as difficult as everyone made it out to be (I had some help from a buddy). I matched the paint from the hood and went on. The 351 cleveland was completely overhauled with new 4v heads. A .548 inch lift cam now drums out at every stoplight. Hooker jet coated ceramic headers flow cleanly through the bay and drop out just below the line of the car. The holley 750 dbl pumper and high plenum intake manifold were all set in place. I moved on to the interior of the car. The interior I had was in great shape, but man this is a resto! I dropped in a pioneer head unit and cerwin vega 6x9s with polk tweeters and a PPI amp and subwolfer. Not pictured here is the new tint job and edelbrock suspension that lower the car about an inch all the way around. Also not in these pictures is are the new 16x7 and 16x8 American Racing TT2's wrapped up in BFG's. Please do however, note the original nasa ram air hood. It functions fully and very nicely. :) Also not in these pictures are the GT rally fog lamps mounted on the lower front just inside the directionals. They're the same size as the directionals and as bright as the Halogen head lamps. In the future: Paint!! and clear directionals and auxilaries. Personally I think these are the biggest and baddest ponies. Especially on their way out the door. azuremach's 1972 Ford Mustang All this sounds like it was a two day job. My mach, nick named Ashley after my first love (only parted time with by the car) has been a work in progress for over a year and a half. I think It's all payed off. Gonna post timeslip screenshots as soon as I scan em. My reaction sux.

UPDATE!
I moved up to 17x9 torq thrust II's all the way around wrapped in BFG's. The car is running great as of late, and I installed stiffer valve springs and new pistons. I also got a kit from Holley to add lighter secondary springs.
