The trunk was another problem in itself. The owner of the car wanted a ton of sound, but he didn't want it taking up his entire trunk.
Luckily for us, this car has a very large indentation in the trunk of the car. Clark built a custom subwoofer enclosure that housed 2 10" Diamond Audio Mac Daddy subwoofers. This dropped right into this indentation.
The next problem was mounting the amplifiers. Our shop loves to use the Zapco AG series amplifiers. They are a great amplifier, have balanced inputs, are repped by one of the best reps we have had, and they are a great value. We could have just as easily used the Zapco Competition line in this car, but chose these because they put out tons of power into a 4 ohm load and you don't have to load them down. Since we wanted alot of power, we need to use several amplifiers. We decided to go with 2 AG 350 (100 x 2) and 1 AG 750 (750 x 1). One of the AG 350 is running the Kove midbasses in the kickpanels, and the other is running the Morel Mid and Tweeter combo in the door. The AG 750 is running into a 4 ohm mono load into the 2 Diamond 10" woofers.
Clark's solution to the problem was to make an aluminum panel that he would use as a two level amp rack.
He would make an aluminum panel that he would mount both of the amplifiers to and then would place the AG750 in front of the two other amplifiers.
