Whats Up? This Blazer has been a project for quite some time. I've been designing SPL systems for a little while and finally think that I have the right formula for my truck. I went with Cerwin Vega because I was always a fan. I'm thinking about going Digital Designs when the price is right. All the box designs and info was provided by T.J. Riggs at Cerwin Vega Technical Support. We came up with an awesome idea of having 8 ports total with 30 1/2 square inches per driver, or 2 ports per driver. With half of the 8 ports covered, or 1 per driver, we are able to adjust the tuning frequency to about 33 Hz. All 8 ports tuning frequency is about 51 Hz. The arrangement of the subwoofers are placed as far rear as possible.
DCsoundFounder's 1988 Chevrolet Blazer We were trying to get rid of the traditional wall theory and maintain tremendous SPL. The enclosure it self, is braced primarily by the ports. The box maintains pressure with a centered sealed cap off the ports. The box took about 4 weeks to complete. Thanks to my girlfriend and my club DC Sound (my club and Not A SHOP)box was completed.

This pic is recently taken in Cali. This was my first triple piont event. I did well but only recieved a 151.7 with one blown sub. I chose purple to stand out in a crowd. It doesn't actually inhance the SPL of the vehicle.
DCsoundFounder's 1988 Chevrolet BlazerThe box Itself is Faced up and as Far rear as possible. Now you may ask yourslf why,(LOL) well from tremendous testing, and change from a wall, the ports up aproach proved to be the best. Don't be fooled by the buckles, there for cosmetics. The buckels ar actually ironic. I used to always you some sort of crome in my instal.

Here are some cool lighting effects that I did over the holiday it gives a sort of custom look
DCsoundFounder's 1988 Chevrolet BlazerI was worried about the dash looking to "arts and crafts" so I wanted to show it and see what people think.
DCsoundFounder's 1988 Chevrolet BlazerI am still in the process of doing some custom 6x9.
DCsoundFounder's 1988 Chevrolet BlazerWell I started the 6x9's they look good so far i am going to do some trick wood work. Look for strobe light in the future. Check out the next page .Leave me an e-mail. DCsoundFounder@aol.com
