This is my baby, Midnight Sun. She's changed quite a lot since I've had her, and she's getting better every day. I brought her home on March 29, 2000... and I got her just the way I wanted her... all options except: Automatic Transmission, Smokers Package, Engine Block Heater.
Due to popular demand, I present: Do it Yourself, Mod 101
A section where I document some of the modifications I've done to my car, with pictures and a how-to style writeup. This section will possibly grow fairly extensive... gaze in awe.

Here's a few pics, pre accident...
And here's what she looks like today...

Here's some older pics of her... I've got more, but this will do for now. Check out her first internet appearance...
Here's a couple of pics taken at Fun Ford Weekend 2000
This was my first time to race... ever. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous, and kept repeating to myself "If I don't stall out, I'm doing ok". Well, I didn't stall out... but I did pretty crappy. Couldn't get traction anywhere. Spun all the way through 1st, quite a bit in 2nd, and got a good chirp in 3rd. Ironically, my best time was run with my Traction Control ON! But I've since learned the error of my ways... And GOD it was cold!
This was taken at the final stretch of the 30 mile road course for the True Street class. There was some crazy number like 140+ cars in this class. There was just about an hour wait in between runs... heh... talk about a cool down period!
I still have a few rolls to develop from our recent "Toys for Tots" cruise/race at DFW Stangs. Got the pics back from this event... I'll be posting them soon
We had a really good turnout... around 70 cars came out of the woodwork for this event. We started at Crown Rd @ Luna, just west of I35 in North Dallas. Channel 11 (CBS) showed up to get some coverage (still haven't seen the spot though :/ ).
Had a good all day event, did some racing at the North Texas Dragway in Denton, it's a little 1/8 mile track, and they were nice enough to let us rent it out for a few hours. We raised around $1000 for "Toys for Tots", and also filled the Hummer the Marines had brought out to the track with toys. From there we headed out to dinner... still had a good chunck of our crowd with us, and a little grudge match bowling after that. By then it had pretty much dwindled down to the core of DFW Stangs.
I had a lot of fun, and can't wait till our spring cruise! Oh yeah, and I shaved a good second off my 1/8 mile time... not too shabby for my 2nd time at the track.
