AlpinesLamborghi's 1999 Lamborghini Diablo

I think it is wrong what others did to cardomain by making fun of a lamborghini having a sound system in it when in fact all lamborghini's have alpine systems in them. So here is one off of alpine's web page for all of you to enjoy.

Lamborghini Diablo SV Alpine Limited Edition

During 1999 a special series of only 12 Diablo was made to celebrate the close relationship between Automobili Lamborghini SpA and Alpine Car Audio, a standard Diablo VT or SV was used as base to show the world what could be done with car electronics these days.

All 12 Diablo's were finished in the same special Alpine blue colors, the outside still used the SV monogram at both sides of the car when an SV type was used, on the inside the black leather was stitched using the same Alpine blue, even the steering wheel was stitched using this rare color.

The engine was left alone, no tuning was performed on it, neither were there any visible changes to the exterior of the car, Alpine only wanted to make a statement using their proper car electronics, therefore the inside of the car was completely stripped and a state of the art Audio installation was mounted in the rather cramped passenger cell of the beautiful Lamborghini.

The center console received a small color TV screen, connected to a rear mounted camera, it allowed much easier parking of this 2 meters wide exotic. The remote control for both this TV and the high end audio installation was mounted to the right of the gear lever, this gear lever was finished in Carbon and received the Alpine Limited Edition crest with the serial number of this specific car.

The car at the bottom of this page was in fact one of the first Alpine Editions, still based on the 1998 Diablo SV car. The Diablo SV pictured a used the lower side air intakes but the rest of the exterior was kept standard.

The unmistakeable lines of the Lamborghini demo car make it an excellent showcase for Alpine's Mobile MultiMedia platform technology.
