DAN'S 1989 CAMARO

89_HO_RS's 1989 Chevrolet Camaro

I started out with a 305 TBI and a 4-speed automatic (that at the time we pulled the tranny out had only 2-speeds). I decided to convert the car over to a 5-speed T-5. While I was at it I swapped out the 305 and threw in a 350. I got rid of the TBI for an Edelbrock Performer carb and intake. I kept the cruise control and ac.

I'm now in the process of painting and piecing together the rest of my would-be "dream hotrod." I'm thinking of painting it red with white racing stripes, and painting the stock black louvers and grill white to blend in with the stripes.

Hey nice ride, I miss my Iroc, but I'll have another one one day. I have my exhaust finished now, my duals have 4" of clearance from the ground, running long tube headers, you can't have a ton of clearance with, but I'm not lowering the car, I'm going to take a video of how it sounds tomorrow and put it up on my myspace. Also, I'm going to finish the rear suspension soon, so check out my site and I'm going to take some pics of the exhaust and post them tomorrow morning, and after the cars washed, first time in three years, I'll put pics of that up too. Keep up your camaro. I don't have any times for the way the car is now though, it should be running about a mid 13 with good tires. Then when I put the HSR I have ported on, then I'll retard the cam 4* from straight up and put that HSR on, and I should be in the high twelves, and may get it even faster. But I always update my site so, take care, have a great holiday!
