About It all started about 8 years ago... I was at a garage sale and there was a 1988 Monte Carlo SS for sale. And I didn't think it was a very bad price. So I ended up buying it. Well I fell in love with them. And I just kept on buying and selling to work my way up to some really nice ones. They just drive and handle so nice. And the High Output 305 isn't very bad. This has just been a great hobbie to be into. Whatever, on to my Aerocoupe. It has 32,000 orginal miles on it and is all stock. I wouldn't change anything if I could. It's decked out with everything from the factory, except ttops! It even has the original tires on it! Specs 6052 Aerocoupes were made in 1987. Each was optioned uniquely with all available SS interior and exterior colors. The option code for the 1987 Aerocoupe is Z16. All were apparently built in Pontiac, MI. SS Info: •The last full frame rear wheel drive carbureted V8 car make by GM •Aerodynamic front end •Spoiler on trunk lid. •Blacked out

I bought this car when the previous owner sprayed primer over the original paint, so I had alot of work ahead of me. I made it what it is. 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe, and they only made 6,252 between 1986 and 1987. They made only 200 with t-tops, which makes it 1 of however many are left.

I've had this one for a little over a year now. Bought it from a guy who said it has a crate motor 350 and a blown transmission... I swapped in a transmission from my 1986 Monte SS which has now become a parts car for this 1987 Aerocoupe. I also fixed a vacuum leak at the intake manifold and the car's been running fine ever since. I've yet to run the casting numbers to find out what's really under the hood, but it definitely drives like a low mileage motor. Since the car is an older one, my sister-in-law named it "Betty"... Future plans; restore the paint and body to original condition, amp up the suspension and handling, swap in a manual transmission to make this car what it should have been from the factory.

I Got dat all blk coope at night look like a gobblin..87 ss monte its no problem, and for a rather nice deal, but va dealerships lie alot..it wasn't no 350 under my hood..it was a wack 305, and the tranny was some str8 booboo..although its been a yr i ain't done too much, but put a better tranny in her, 24in pipe tips, new brakes and shoes..put some 245 bfG's on da front, and 275 bfG's in da rear.& new shocks, cuz my baby was sittin too low..she already had performance headers, and 40 series flowmasters, so you know she growlin like! I'm really more focused on makin sure she runnin perfect before she look perfect, but she is in ok shape for how she been treated..I'm puttin a new motor in her this summer '10..prolli a 377w/cam, and 3 speed transmission, and ima do the rear wit bigger gears & posi..other than that she a work in progress
