My name is Darren Steinke and I am a Car Audio Sales Consutant for Visions Electronics in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. Just a quick note, I have a 1989 P... Show morelymouth Sundance RS with a 2.2L Turbo. I bought the car stock and wasn't planning on doing too much to it. My GF took off on me so since I live on my own, I don't have a lot of money to poor into it, but I do what I can. I have a 15" kicker free air /w a Kenwood KAC818 mono amp right now, but I'm replacing that as soon as I finnish the custom box for the new subs which I will explain in the following pages. I do have pics of all the car audio gear, as well as my neon. The car is dirty as I live in the north so after I wash it again I'll send some more pics in.
Enjoy...:-) Show Less
Ok I have a JVC KDSX950 Head Unit, 45wx4 dual preout with sub out @ 4v. Nice little unit that looks good and sounds great. I'm not a HUGE JVC fan but thi... Show mores deck for the price has tonnes of value.
Up front I have Kicker Resolution 6 1/2" Components with Maxwave Drivers and 2 way lith-diamond domed tweeters.
In the back a pair of Kicker I12x 3 way full range 6x9's mounted in the stop factory position with Brown Bread bass restoration material underneath.
These four speakers are all being powered by a 5channel Kicker IX402D Comp Amp which spits out 75watts x 4 275wattls x 1 (extra wattage for down the road or another sub).
In the trunk I have 4 12" Kicker Impulse Subwoofers in 2 sealed Exciter EC212C Hatchback boxes. I choose these subs because when run in parallel they pound out 2 ohms stable. Matched up with 2 Kicker ZR340 Class D amps, 2 ohm stable, each sub is maxing out with 240watts per channel, which in the back of a Sundance, in laymens terms, pounds the f*cking sh!t out my ears, and oh yeah the car as well :-)
As soon as it gets dark i'll have the neon on the next page as well as my wire/accessory spiels. And when I'm done with the Install and wash tha fricking car I'll upload some more pics. Show Less
